Semtrix GmbH manages nearly 600 WordPress instances for its clients. The previous workflow was time-consuming at several stages: every post required a manual login to the respective installation, followed by numerous clicks before an article was finally published. Furthermore, posts had to be requested via a separate team equipped with the appropriate access rights. Every single article had to be processed as a ticket through this department.

With the “WordPress Blog Manager,” we have developed a central management platform that simplifies the entire editorial workflow. After a single login, the editorial team can access all configured instances and schedule or publish articles from one unified interface. The need to separately log in and out of each instance is completely eliminated, as is navigating through unfamiliar backends.

At the same time, the platform provides a seamless overview: Which post was published when, and on which instance? This ensures transparent documentation for clients and facilitates the precise management of entire content campaigns.

The impact is clearly tangible. Notably, the time savings don’t come from the content creation itself—which remains just as demanding—but from eliminating the administrative friction surrounding it. Today, the person with the most subject-matter expertise publishes the content directly, rather than routing every post through a separate team. This improves overall quality and makes the editorial team entirely independent, no longer waiting on external processing.

Across the vast number of managed instances, this adds up to more than 200 hours freed up month after month. This is time that is now invested where it truly makes an impact: in high-quality content, rather than clicking through WordPress backends.

Numerous technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Spring AI), Vaadin, Postgres, Docker, OpenAI and Stable Diffusion were used in the implementation of the project.
