Deutsche Post – Print Mailing Designer
Individual Software
Project description
Deutsche Post AG supports its customers in planning and executing direct marketing campaigns via print mailings. During sales meetings, consultants previously faced a challenge: How do you convincingly show a customer what their individual postcard could look like? The answer was often: “Just imagine it with your logo”. This is intangible and hard to visualize.
With the “Print Mailing Designer”, we developed an AI-powered sales tool that solves this problem. The sales consultant enters the customer’s website, and the application automatically analyzes all relevant content: images, text, colors, and brand elements. Based on this information, the AI generates a complete postcard design including an individually created visual motif.
Additionally, the application provides sales-relevant information about the analyzed website as well as arguments and reasons for direct mailing campaigns. The prospective advertiser receives not only a visual impression but also a solid basis for decisions on planned marketing activities.
The application is actively used by around 700 sales representatives at Deutsche Post AG. Typically during customer meetings on a tablet. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive: The prospective advertiser immediately sees a concrete, automatically generated design instead of abstract descriptions. Consultation quality increases, decision-making is accelerated.
During the development the following technologies and organization tools have been used: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring AI, Google Gemini, Pdfbox, JPA, Hibernate, jUnit, maven, GitLab, Jenkins, Sonar Qube, Jira und Confluence.
In this partnership, we rely on both development activities in the Java domain and support in the operation of applications.
I would particularly like to highlight the reliability, the quality of the work outcomes, and the constructive cooperation in addressing new challenges.
